Folks - you're going to hate me..
Due to some unforeseen family business that has cropped up, I'm afraid I have to postpone this event 'til August. I don't want to clash with the AW weekend so it's going to be AUG 12. I'm really sorry and would hate to think someone who could originally make it may now have to miss out on it due to the date change. Your response would be appreciated. Once again, my apologies. Simon

Looks like the change of date might suit me, 29/7 is the wifes birthday and the 12/8 is my eldest sons birthday. My son will be more understanding than my wife as far as me dissappearing for a few hours
Has a time to meet been discussed and a meeting place? Brett More fishing, more sport, more photo's Pentax 1stds

Sorry guys - my ISP decided to pull the plug on my suburb for the last two days and I've been out of action. I've even been too busy at work to sneak a peek at the site! Meeting place will be: The bus shelter at the lower entrance to the City Botanical Gardens, corner of Edward and Alice Streets, Brisbane City This is the same start point that the Brisbane Camera Group use and it's perfect for our purposes as it provides a central position from which one can shoot the river, the gardens and the urban landscape - depending, of course, on the topics which will be handed out just prior to the starter's pistol! There is plenty of parking around (Kings etc). Time: It'll be a 10.00am kick-off, so please be there before this time so I can 'calibrate' your shutter count, gather mobile contact details so we don't lose anyone, explain the plan for the day and, hopefully, grab the ever-elusive GROUP PHOTO. I expect I'll be there from around 9.30am. Thanks Bernie for compiling the list of attendees - a great mix of new and old members. The important thing to remember is that this is a very serious event, focussing on winning at all costs, being as ruthless as you can be and not smiling for the whole day. Photography is not fun, people, and I'm a very serious guy. I f anyone is under the illusion that this will be an enjoyable outing, they'd better get that thought out of their mind quick smart. Simon

I'm definately out on that date
Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
Well it looks like I am over another hurdle to be at the hunt and shoot, the cheese and kisses has given her blessing, the birthday boy wants to do his boat licence that day with a couple of his mates. The youngest blokes football season finishes the week before, so now that only leaves work and I wont know that until the day before the event.
Sorry I cant be more definate, but if luck keeps going my way I could get over the line Brett More fishing, more sport, more photo's Pentax 1stds
