Multi-Media ViewersHi All,
I am interested in Purchasing a Multi-media Viewer and want to know, if anyone has had any experience with them. Also, what is a good brand? I have been looking at Vosonic VP8360 and the Epson P-2000 I plan to use it to Download images from the C/F Card mainly, when a notebook isn't practical. ie. Airshows I currently use a Canon 20D Camera, so it needs support my camera and its images JPEG. Any ideas would be appreciated. Stuart
I have a p2000
I am told that these have the best (and biggest screens) around. works well. Steve check out my image gallery @

i think if you do a search you find some more info about this.
dont think the the p2000 can view raw and the newer model can but cant zoom. the vosonic can and can zoom but its not as good a screen. i've played with the both the epson ones snd they are very nice, i havent played with a vosonic so cant really advise on that. i hope to remedy that soon. Simon
www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"
If you need one which the viewing functions, then there are choices such as the Vosonic (I've had a little play with a 6230, but its screen is smaller).
Or there are the Epson models:
Or there's the Giga-Vu Pro Evolution from Jobo (to be distributed by C.R. Kennedy) which is VERY nice. I got to play with a pre-production unit at the ADAPT tradeshow a couple of weeks back: the actual units should arrive soon. For example it has a full RAW converter built in, so you can zoom RAW files to 100%. Probably its only drawback is price. Whatever you get will probably be a price/features compromise. But my own PSD doesn't display images so if that's a requirement for you, I can't tell you much more.
I have the Epson P-2000 and it does show RAW Nikon files.
Try looking at this thread which probably contains the information you are looking for. TFF (Trevor)
