Topic revisit - Printing digital image to canvasHi all,
I looked at a previous thread (from back in October 04) regarding printing images to canvas. A friend saw a print of mine (my avatar) recently and asked if I could get it printed (and enlarged) to canvas for her. I willingly agreed. I have sourced just a few places (http://www.bigprints.com.au and http://www.mymasterpiece.com.au and have decided to use (probably and unless someone suggests otherwise) one of these. So, anyone know of a good mob that do print images to canvas? I look forward to your replies.. Geoff

www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"

would love to know how big prints get a 100k file to print a metre wide and keep the detail.
100k and detail, not two terms you usually use in one sentence. they must have some of the hollywood software you see in the movies. Simon

Terrific! Thanks guys, will look into these options.
Glen - was hoping to go a bit bigger than that what the R1800 could offer. Ive just placed the image in the image review section that I'm wanting to probably to turn into a bigger canvas. Happy to report that the client was really happy with this shot See here: http://www.dslrusers.net/viewtopic.php?p=236591#236591 Geoff

They say printing on canvas lasts 75years+ how long do other methods last. And yes I have noticed some of the pics I printed on inkjet that are 2+years old have faded. What other paper/inks are good and reliable??
D50 - AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm 3.5-4.5G ED
this mob is expensive
http://www.brilliantprints.com.au/ but the best thing is quality is good and you pay after you get the thing more so than 'on demand' in chatswood but on demand only deal with big commercial orders my boss forced me to print one of my large artworks on canvas for hte office boardroom under budget so i did some investigating
Is that your Harbour bridge shot that is like 2m+ wide?? Where did u get that printed?? D50 - AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm 3.5-4.5G ED
yup as i said brilliant prints.com.au it cost like $500+ so not cheap but if you have the money to burn go ahead
Yeah..I am finding that places are very different in prices Matt - I'm wanting to go fairly big....haven't really worked it out yet to be honest... Geoff

all i can say is wow. just using a demo of this program and blew up some images 1500%, took a few mins to do, but i'm amazed at the outcome. think i may have to lay some dollars down. Simon

Hi All
If anyone in Perth would like to have canvas prints of thier work have a look at Jak's. I have never used them, I just saw a piece in the paper about them.
