Life after Opanda

Postby marcotrov on Sun Aug 20, 2006 12:10 pm

Sorry if this has been mentioned but for some reason I haven't been able to find my shutter actuations with Opanda :? So I did a search and found this. Hope it's of use to members and hasn't already been announced  , but only if you shoot RAW :)

Shutter Actuations
In PS/CS2, open up your RAW (NEF) file.
• Click on File>FileInfo
• Click on Advanced
• Click on http://ns.adobe.com/exif/1.0/aux
and you should see "aux:ImageNumber: 12345" (this is shutter actuations) just found a whopping 36 actuations on my D200 no chance of shutter failure at the moment :)

cheers

Is your address right?

I don't have a Nikon, but I was trying to understand what you are talking about so I tried to open the page and found an error page instead. Marco, did you copy the address correctly?

Zafra don't use the url as hot link cause it will take you nowhere. You need to have a raw file open in CS2 then follow the prompts i have outlined :)

Nice find Marco..

Just checked my 2 week old D200 and it has 1516 actuations! 300 of those were yesterday at the Toyota Rally SA (will post some later) and another 70 odd today for a pregnant friend.

If you are using Opanda, you need to take a jpeg to find the number of actuations. Works fine with my d200.
