Difference between Sigma EX DC and DG lenses?Just looking at these leses and contemplating and I notice the DC an DG tags. Does anyone know the difference? There appears to be very little difference between these three lenses (below) but the prices vary.
Any help appreciated. Rob http://www.centre.net.au/Sigma_AF_18_50 ... 007XC.html http://www.centre.net.au/Sigma_AF_24_60 ... 007XC.html http://www.centre.net.au/Sigma_AF_28_70 ... 007XC.html

From Sigma's website:
The DG lenses typically have anti-reflective coatings on the rear elements to reduce possible reflections from the sensor (shinier than film). Other manufacturers such as Canon use similar coatings in some lenses, but don't bother making it part of the model name. Obviously DC lenses can't be used on "full-frame" cameras.
as i understand it DC lenses can't be used on cameras with a full frame sensor or film. DG refers to a special type of coating that is supposed to be offer better performance on digital cameras.

if your contemplatign 3 sigma primes
save your money and get the Sigma AF 28-70mm f2.8 EX Aspherical DF Lens that covers the range and save up for a dedicated canon equivallent prime like the 85mm f1.2
What is a DF lense then? Is it comparable to this? http://www.centre.net.au/Sigma_AF_28_70 ... 007XC.html
How will the Sigma 28-70/2.8 be compared to the Nikon 28-70/2.8? Performance in wide open, colour/contrast and bokeh wise?
