Hi folks,

Just registered here today, about 20 mins aftery buying my D70 + 18-70!
My first DSLR (had an old Can*n EOS film and a Sony PHD digicamera) so looking forward to getting to grips with this piece of hardware. Lurked around this forum a bit and picked up what looks to be some great advice (now I just need to apply it and learn this camera).

Hopefully I'll be posting some piccies for critique soon, but I'll go back to lurking for a while.

Hi Geoffers

Firstly, congratulations on your new D70
Secondly, welcome to the forum
Thirdly, maybe you would like to put which state you are from in your profile?

If you need some where to host your images, check out my site http://www.pixspot.com. I offer free image hosting for the forum members.

Cheers

Now although I always tell my (English) husband that I'll never visit his hometown (Essex) because it's always raining and full of Poms, I don't think Poms really do whinge all the time. In fact, I've met some of my husband's family and they didn't whinge at all. Perhaps it was becuase they were here on holidays and had discovered that sun can actually shine for a week or more at a time.:)

Hi Geoffers,

I moved here from ole Blighty 8 weeks ago.
Every now and then I have to go and stand in the freezer section of the supermarket and pour a watering can over my head........feels just like home.

Welcome to the forum mate. If you take any good shots of London I'd love to see em. I'm going back in June for 4 weeks and the D70 aint gonna get no rest.

Where in London you from?

Welcome Geoffers from an ex-pom.

I lived in Shaftesbury Avenue, went to school in St Johns Wood. Lived in Shepherds Bush. My mum and sister still live in Cornwall.

Hope to see some of your cold country pics soon

Welcome to the forums!

My mum, dad and sister lived in doughnut city (Basingstoke) for some years until dad died and my sister and her husband built some holiday villas in Perranporth so mum moved down there as well - a small world
