I think he could kind of come up with anything and people would shell out for it. This has been in response to people questioning why so much light should be lost behind you - its a new dome which has a built in - flash card if you like.

I just wish he would make them easier to attach / dettach to the flash units first! A guy i know snapped his wide-angle piece on his canon speedlight trying to persuade it on.

For indoors I shoot without dome (another 1/2 stop! :wink: ) against the ceiliong and often pull out the reflector card on the SB800. This way I don't waste as much light going backwards. I reckon that's what he wants to achieve with the chrome dome as well.

The only thing I use the inverted dome for is outdoors, or when I can't get close enough to a neutral ceiling/wall. Strangely enough I get best results shooting with the LSPJ pointed straight up, with no dome. Not really a big deal to crank up the flash exp comp a stop or so. Might give this one a miss (though who knows, I might try one out at a meet.. and then I might HAVE to have one)
