Attention Gallery2 users

Postby MHD on Thu Aug 31, 2006 2:51 pm

I'm about to set up a new gallery for a project and I have to decide which version of the software to use...

So I would like all Gallery 2 users to post (or send) me a link to their site so I can see what can be achieved so far as look with the new version of the software....

Cheers!

Was it easy to customise?

Can't say I have made huge changes, but here is my site using G2. There forum is generally useful, and if I can do basic stuff than anyone can.

The only problem I am now having is working out how to set permissions so a user can edit only his image...

Oh and the poll system still needs to come along way,,,

Had a look around and I can't see a simple way to do what you want - rediculous.

This might help: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/35587

I've found problems like this with multiple web projects - functions that are just logical and sensible and often implied in the projects aims that are completely missing.

yes... and I would also like to be able to allow *some* users to have their own gallery, but not others.... can't seem to do that either.... or maybe I am missing it - I'm still new to G2.

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes.

Thanks all!
I actually found it VERY easy to customise... Make sure you have the colourpack module installed and then it is as simple as playing with the templates and modifying them

The project will be revealed soon :)
