D200 Raw files

Postby marcotrov on Sun Sep 03, 2006 1:22 pm

Wonder if anybody has an idea why my D200 raw files cannot be seen in Adobe bridge. Yet I can open them in ACR once in PS :? It's probably an obvious omission on my part but i can't seem to find it

Marco, I have PS CS2 which I assume is the same version as you, because I think that's when Bridge came into the package. I have no problems with my D200 NEFs. There's probably an update for Bridge that you need because PS CS2 came out before D200. I've installed 1 or 2 updates since installing PS CS2 but I can't remember if one of these updates was for the D200. Try the Adobe web site for an update.
Cheers
John

Marco, when you say the D200 NEFs can't be seen in Bridge, do you mean you can't see the thumbnails or the larger image in filmstrip view or both? I can see both OK.

In Bridge Help About, it tells me Adobe Bridge CS2, which I though was the first version of Bridge and came bundled with Photoshop CS2. Are you saying you have a version of Bridge that came with Photoshop CS, and presumably says Adobe Bridge CS in Help About?

Cheers
John

No John it's CS2. Just checked my D70 Raw and unlike my D200 they both show as thumbnails and filmstrip. :? It's wierd when I right click and go to file info in Adobe Bridge on an NEF file from the D70 I get full camera data 1 info if I do the same on my D200 raw file i get nothing no info at all as if adobe doesn't see the files details yet it has a generic windows icon (like my D70 raw files) Actually my D70 raw files are named (default) DSC_0001.NEF whilst my D200 raw file default shows as _DSC0001.NEF) in the Adobe Bridge window, but I can't see how that would impact on the viewability in bridge :?
