borrow/rent macro lens

Postby Oz_Beachside on Mon Sep 04, 2006 10:49 pm

Does anyone know where I may be able to borrow a Macro Lens, in Melbourne?

I want to use one for some ideas for the Fred Hollows foundation challenge http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?t=20741 , can I rent one for a few weeks?

Ideas?

I am thinking somehting like the Nikon 60mm, or the 105, or 105 VR

Cheers,
Oz

I'm up in Sydney but welcome to borrow mine if you can wear the postage and hassle. Hopefully one closer will come up or you could try Borge Imaging.

Mine is 105mm, not Nikkor, no Vr

Oz, I have a Tamron 90 macro that you could borrow for a couple of days. All in a good cause. The prob is I am in Reservoir.

well you can try going to Baltronics located in Richmond. They seem to have a decent range of Nikkor lenses. http://www.baltronics.com.au Alternatively you can try Kayell Victoria http://www.kayellaustralia.com.au/

hope this helps :)

i realised that but I thought of posting it more of a reference. As it could save someone else the headache in the future if they are looking to rent nikkor lenses in melbourne.

Hope you dont mind :-)

Hi Oz,

Assuming you have a D200 I have a 55 micro manual focus that you can borrow for a week or so if you want. I can bring it down with me on Sunday.

cheers, Ants
