From lurker to newbie

Hi,

I've been lurking around this great forum for a few weeks, and since I've finally taken the plunge and got myself a brand spankin' new D70, thought I'd better do the right thing and register.

I've been a film man for many years (series of Canon stuff and when that got pinched I bought myself a Nikon F601 and a few lenses with the insurance dough), but dabbled with a few consumer digitals while lusting after D1's and the like. When the D70 was released I just knew I had to get one.

This forum is truly a wealth of information and has a good friendly feeling about it and I look forward to chatting with you all. I'll post some photo's once I get used to the D70.

Cheers

Thanks guys.

I'm heading up to Mt Isa next week with work - lots of interesting country around the Isa, so hopefully can get a few pics.

Welcome Peter, don't forget our unwritten law, you have to post your first photo with the D70.
Enjoy.

Well here it is then. Soon as I got home I charged the battery (seemed like ages), put it in and pointed the D70 at the first available subject. I'm not really into portraiture, but she was the most co-operative model you could wish for.
