At $300, the only person seeing this as a bargain will be the seller.

The price is already well over what even the retailers sell these for.

Complete with Nikons 1 year non-transferable (as I understand it) International warranty!!! I am sure Maxwell would be really impressed to see their web page ripped off like that.

Cheers

I think this item demonstrates that you really have to research any item on Ebay that you are interested in.

Pleeeeeease dont get me wrong boys. :( There is no sacasm. Pardon me if my choice of words was out of balance.

I have purchased through Birddog before and I will do it in future. The service he is doing for our community is invaluable and the amount of time and energy he spends is beyond imagination.

Precisely that is what I was trying to put in words. That he is the one I will go to.

cheers,

sigh ! sigh! :D

Thanks MHD. I was a bit worried there.

Well I was not exactly being sarcastic there, but just bemused as to what some people's expectations are. In this case at least a little bit of homework on pricing would have attracted more bids for his (or her) item.

Well, It's special edition and has real GOLD mark, GOLD band everywhere, that why it's expensive.
The seller has no feed back and no other item for sell

I once emailed the seller of a manfrotto tripod that I was interested in, politely letting him know that his staring price for the used tripod was higher then the brand new price from Vanbar, his reply was "Oh well".
He ended up selling it for $50 over the brand new price. There's always a sucker out there.

The buyer probably bought a D*ist or a 300D.

G'day,

It'll be interesting to see how much it goes for... Some of the bids are like a shark feeding frenzy when it gets near the end...

Well if it is a non-Nikon user who buys it, they are really dumb

Greg - we are talking about Ebayers - I have 100% feedback at 472 and yet I did buy one thing over retail
