I got my 80-400VRHi All well looks like i become a member of the VR club and now it arrived this morning so have had just a lil play with it. First impressions wow this is a chunk of glass by the size of the box.LOL
I am not the best to hand hold very stable but did a couple of test pics just to try the vr out, very rough but you will get the idea. No Vr at 400mm at 1/40sec hand held Vr On at 400mm at 1/40sec hand held Lens on camera at 400mm taken with my lil sony p&s Ok now i need to go test on something that moves or other than sighns,uhhmm maybe down the lakes and see what the DUCKS are doing.LOL Cheers John BBJ D3,D2x,D70,18-70 kit lens,Sigma 70-200mm F2.8EX HSM,Nikon AF-I 300m F2.8, TC20E 2X

That is one hell of a weapon you have there to go duck shooting.
I reckon you should get yourself some tickets to the cricket you'd get some great shots there. You might even get in the press gallery with a beast like that! Regards

Ahhh, a push pull dust vacuum like the Canon 100-400IS. I prefer the internal Zoom lenses myself because then you don't get air passing in and out of the lens during zoom. Still you should get some nice pics from it.

I've played with the 80-400 for a while now and I'm still amazed as to just how much my keep rate has improved. I was initially anxious to see just how much difference VR really made, but after playing with one for a while, VR's now my best friend It still impresses me how it "locks" onto an image...
