Can D50 do time-lapse by itself??
I think you need some sort of time lapse remote control set for such long time lapses.
Re: Time lapse with a D200/D50
i've been playing all this week with the time lapse, only hint i can give you is to turn the res right down if you intend to piece the images together to get a video. 70 shots all open at 3872x2592 in photoshop trying to piece together an animation can bring a dual core 4400 with 2gb of ram to its knees. it didn't click, even while i was swearing at the machine and threatening it with a core 2 upgrade, that the slowness was due the silly size the animation was going to end up being Simon
www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"
For those wanting to do time lapse with a D50/D70/D70s and probably other Nikons go here.
http://www.gentles.ltd.uk/gentled/ This unit works via the infrared remote port and can be set to fire the camera at various intervals. It will also fire various Pentax Optio compact cameras, which is what I got it for, intending to do some KAP. Your image size only needs to be around 720x576 pixels which is the standard PAL TV format. I shoot jpgs and then auto resize them in ACDSEE or Photoshop using an "Action". Then drop then into the time line in your favourite video editing to produce your video.
I've only managed to get single shots form NC, where do you enable/setup the timelapse capture??
I only have it on one of my laptops and not the one I have with me today, but I am close to sure I remember seeing it. You could set the interval between the shots.
