Photographers Vest - where to buy?

Postby gleff on Tue Sep 26, 2006 7:32 pm

Hi All,

I've heard of Vested Interest for getting a photographers vest, but i'm reluctant to buy from an online store without trying it on for size and checking the compartments are large enough for my lenses etc.

Sooooo.. Does anyone know where in Sydney I can have a look at one and perhaps buy it. I'm after an actual walk in shop so I can look at it.

Thanks
Geoff

I have been thinking of doing the same thing with the vest, only I want my website printed on the back as well. I was thinking of buying a vest from a work safety store and then source the printing. Now football season is over I can put some time into this and other things that I have put off over the winter, Like fishing and fishing and my boat

Brett
ps good luck and I would be interested in what you find and what they are asking for it.
More fishing, more sport, more photo's Pentax 1stds

Speak to Birdy. He has one of their vests and swears by them. He's tried vests from a number of suppliers, but recommends vested interest above all others.

Yep. I tried one on the weekend and was impressed enough to put in an order for one!

Yeh... I briefly saw it on the weekend but as you'd know it, I wasn't overly interested in it on the weekend. I'll have a look around tomorrow and perhaps order one. I'm just not sure what size I should get hence the reason for wanting to try one on. I'll ask birdy though.. he's seen me.

Thanks again all.

That looks good. It's hard to tell by the pictures, but will it house a 80-400mm lens amongst others with enough padding that a slight bump isn't going to break it? And is it comfortable to wear without being too obstructive?
