DOF Test 28-70 f/2.8 "Beast" (Nikkor AFS)

Hi,
Tonight I have been testing DOF, with the following set up;



I used my D70s, in aperture priority, ISO 200, WB-A, and stepped through the range, end to end. Note, objects are 500mm from Camera, and 100mm apart. Distance to step out glue stick, 1500mm.

 PS: any tips on how to remove the dust bunny from my camera (it was on both sets of images from different lenses, so it must be on the sensor). Can this be self cleaned?

Nobody needs THAT much glue !!!!

I bought it for my DOF test, sad I know, but I wanted 20 objects with detail to show the focus. which worked, but now what do I do with all this glue???

Oz_B - what was the 'point of focus' for each shot? (I assume they were all the same?)

Originally it was the item with the step out, middle of the line, but i bumped the focus just before this sequence, however, yes, point of focus was same for all these, just a few sticks behind the outstanding one.

I'd take some of that Glue back as the ones in the foreground seem to have blurry writing. Must be a fault in the manufacture. Get your money back

Stick with those tests Oz - very interesting.
First step with the dust bunny issue is a good blower, then refer to the manual as to how to get access to the sensor. I used the rocket several times to get rid of the dust bunny. Hopefully this will solve the problem (as it did for my camera). In some cases further cleansing (using ethanol) may be required and I haven't had to do this - but there are plenty here who have experience with that as well.

thanks! I purchased a "Rocket Blower" over the weekend, and worked a treat. Just used mirror lock up, and blew it away.

I helped my daughter with the same exercise when she was studying photography.
But I used a slab of VB cans, and by the time I had emptyed 24 cans I couldn't get any part of the lineup in focus.
