Phillip,

That's a bloody good question.

To my mind, I'd say that it's probably ok, but I'm not yet prepared to give you that as a definitive ruling; I'd like to hear what others say on this as well.

I'd say it probably would be, especially in wake of applications like DxO doing it for you. I'll let Stubbsy take this one seeing as he is The Master of DxO!!!

>>If you are having trouble understanding the concept, it's really very very easy. Go outside, into the street, and stand under the nearest streetlight.
Look up.

All very well for urban dwellers, here it would take me 5 or 6 hours to walk to the nearest streetlight! :D

Do the streetlights have to be resolved? ;)

Gordon,

You say that as if it's a problem? :)

But you have lots of very long lenses at your disposal. Why not just train one at the nearest town?

hehe, definitely not a problem, I live far away from streetlights by design :D
Now I just have to plan a drive into town on a night with the right conditions for what I have in mind...

I had my lamp post picked out. I had the concept in my head. I had the camera gear. I had a masterpiece in the making. I didn't have any bloody time! My new years resolution? I will ensure I have time to live and work will just have to be more accommodating.
    Good Luck to all the participants!
