d200 sb800 sinc issuesHey Guys,
Hope everyones having a great sunday Looking at triggering my sb800 with the onboard flash of the d200. The sb800 is triggered but it doesnt seem to fire while the shutter is open. Any ideas?
check all your settings - make sure you have your D200 flash set to commander mode, and the settings within that screen are appropriate. Then make sure your SB800 is set correctly.
(here endith the standard helpdesk response) - oh, check your batteries What settings were you using on each of the above? There are so many different ways of using these flashes that we need a starting point to establish what may be wrong *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
That's odd - is it definitely firing the SB-800? You should hear a beep when it does. Also, do you have the SB-800 set correctly in remote and the right group/channel?
What shutter speed were you using for the shot? That could be a factor too...
Yes, you can put it this way.
SU-4 operates like a studio strobe. It fires off at the instant it sees another flash coming off. AKA "slave-mode" , I think thats how they call it. SU-4 mode operates with any camera with a flash, yes, even the old films or P&S work with the SU-4 wirelessly...
So I could trigger it with a P&S ???? MATT
Matt, AFAIK yes you can. You can also purchase much cheaper alternatives that do exactly the same thing
Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
We call it Jinglish, the company I work for is Japanese based and all the technical writers are Japanese and thus write the documents in Japanese. It gets quite messed up during translation, which can make things very 'interesting'.
