Portable Photo Printer?Hi all, I am looking at purchasing a portable photo printer for some location printing and home printing for my wife.
I was looking at the Canon SELPHY CP730 and also the Epson PictureMate 250 & 500. Anyone have expereince with these printers? Cheers vince
I haven't owned one of these type printers, but I'm told by a good friend who has an Epson Picturemate that it does sensational 6x4s. As for cost, not sure how much per print they cost, it's pretty hard to get anywhere near HN's 15c prints this week.

I have the Epson Picturemate 500. It does a really good job on 6x4 prints, however you are limited to this size only.
As far as cost is concerned it is dearer than commercial processing but I think the convenience outways that for a small number of prints. A print cartridge lasts for 100 prints and you can purchase a package of 100 media complete with a cartridge for approx. $44 - thats roughly 44 cents per print. You can either couple up to a computer via USB cable or use it stand alone, just insert a memory card. Geoff M
