I think you mean 600/4...
a 600/2.8 would be the granddaddy of all monster lenses!

Do you want to try?

I got one now here it's an order from one of our Govt. customers, they will pick up tomorrow.(Sold to them 15K ex-GST) + 03 x 300mm AF-S/ f4.
It seems to me they're happy to lust all the top guns.

No, Can't find it, only on our Nikon order list.

Pre-ordered since October last year.

Edit: Should read as 600/ f4 not f2.8, my apologizes,

It came in the original trunk from Nikon and I've just open it after re-look at the invoice from supplier, it stated 2.8 on the invoice, but it's the 600/f4. I think it mixed up with another 400/2.8 AF-S, they're on same shipment with the 600/f4 arriving this morning by FedEx.

Kewl.... I though 600/2.8 sounded a bit too good to be true... Hell the 400/2.8 is a tank as it is...

Two immediate differences spring to mind.
1. 80-400 is manageable as a walkaround, where the 200-400 is gigantic.
2. 80-400 is <2k, where the 200-400 is about, oh, five times that...
Did you see Onyx's pic of Mrs Birddog with the 200-400? http://www.pixspot.com/displayimage.php?album=114&pos=3

Apart from that, the 200-400 is a far superior lens. Much faster, much quicker to focus. Much harder to hide! :D
