RAW Plugin for PS help

Postby rokkstar on Mon Jan 24, 2005 3:00 pm

Hi all,

I've done a search on this but nothing is turning up to spoon feed a newbie like me in how to use RAW files in PS.

I've read about a RAW plugin that gives an extended menu once you import the photo into PS. I have a RAW plugin 2.2 and when I bring it in it has only 2 settings: EV compensation and a list of WB options.

Do I have the wrong plugin?

Hi Matt,

You have to find Nikon plugin somwhere in PS folder and delete it (or move it somwhere). Next time you'll run PS you'll see different interface for your NEF files

Matt

Check in your PS plugins folder under formats to see if you have any Nikon NEF plugins there. They can be removed (save them to somewhere else) if you are using the Adobe camera RAW plugin which should be in the same folder.

The latest Camera RAW is 2.3 and I use it in PS CS - what PS are you using?
