New lenses

Postby ozonejunkie on Fri Nov 03, 2006 11:01 pm

I may have missed a thread, but is anyone else excited about the two new L series lenses that have been announced by Canon in the past few months?

70-200 f4 L IS
50 f1.2 L USM

I am particularly looking forward to seeing the HK pricing for the 70-200, as this may finally be a decent quality telephoto, that matches a uni student budget!

(Apologies if this has already been discussed - I have been lurking for quite a while and may have missed it.)

This was discussed a few weeks ago before the start of photokina I think. ;)

The news didn't excite me much because I have lenses in those focal lengths, but nothing as fast as that 50mm f/1.2L! It would be a nice lens to have, but after spending a lot today, I don't think I can think about that lens anymore :( haha
