Hey Geoff, I've become an increasingly infrequent visitor to these forums.... much of that is regretful as my life is really getting in the way of 'living'. Here's a thread like this started by you and I'm only just getting word of it 9 days into the month!
Count me in as a sponsor.
Thanks a lot for your support guys. Also thanks to all the "Mo - Bros" for doing such a splendid job.
Back to my condition for just a moment....I had absolutely no symptoms. I went to the doctor because I followed my gut feeling that something needed to be checked out. Do yourself a favour guys and next time you need to visit your local GP, ask for a simple blood test to check you PSA levels - you never know, it may just save your life! I urge you all to dig deep and become Mo- mefied for the month of November!
I have had a PSA test since I turned 40. While it's not perfect its much better than no test (and more pleasant than a finger up the bum ).
My GP insists on a full blood workup for ALL his 40+ male patients including the PSA test. Total cost to me is $0 since the blood tests are covered by Medicare (and our taxes). So there is no reason NOT to get at least a PSA test annually. Peter

ok, since you insist ...
but remember, this is not the Image Critique gallery! and because this almost qualifies as a faux-mo, here's the close-up... seriously considering mascara-ing the mo, if I can figure out how to avoid Panda-Lip
Matty - that's more like it - I didn't even need the closeup to see it.
ANd even it was invisible it's for a good cause Peter

More fuzz there than Elisha Cuthbert, but still got a fair way to go.

'Panda Lip' is a phrase we coined for me at http://www.gothetahs.com, the site/team that I'm mo'ing with. I was asking for advice on how to make my mo (alliteration!) visible, and someone suggested using Keren's mascara ... have you heard of panda-eyes? It's when a lady hasn't removed her mascara before going to bed.
I was proffered the advice to rub a deer pizzle on my upper lip to encourage growth. Although we get plenty of them through the airport as one of the major "lead-in-your-pencil" type products purchased in NZ by certain nationalities, I think I'll pass on touching up the whiskers in such a fashion... Simon, you are channelling an 80's porn star (not one in particular, lots of them). Nice work. You need some of that music.

The pic was taken in the wee hours of the morning after attending the Billy Joel concert. Plus Geoff has had a pretty full on work week too - I think his tiredness well and trully shows here (or Bel just intended to take a bad pic of him). As for the mo - it's coming along nicely Geoff. Peter

Last chance folks...
Thanks to those who have already contributed to this worthwhile cause and thanks, in anticipation, to those who meant to but just haven't gotten around to it yet! It's not too late. You can still help out Geoff, Matty or myself raise much needed funds for men's health and Beyond Blue by following the instructions earlier in this thread. And if you need any convincing of how much we've put into this, have a look at this pathetic specimen - my family and friends have had to put up with it for 29 days now. Please, for their sake, give generously!!! (Before I get used to it and decide to keep it! ) Simon

Just thought I would bump up this worthwhile cause Simon. Never to late to help this cause out via one of these three guys.
I think Matty Jacobs and Geoff got away with the mos, but Simon you have personified all that was good about pornos and the 70's I am happy to kick in another $50 if you will keep it on for two more weeks. Maybe others would like to kick in as well?
less than an hour before movember ends, I thought I'd better put up another pic.
I know the WB is way off, but who cares, this is for charity!
He looks more 'Dad' to me.
That'll teach me for not reading my emails.... It's gone!!! I can't take you up on your extremely generous offer Glen. Simon

My thoughts exactly. Incidentally, in order to practice what I preach, I went and had the full check up and have since altered my diet considerably and am back at the gym for the first time in 20 years. My trainer's got big plans for me during my supposed 'holiday' in January and I don't think I'm going to enjoy it! I'm already feeling better than I ever have and I wouldn't have given it a thought if it wasn't for Movember. Anyone heard from Arek (Flyer?) Simon
