Talking into the monitor, we don't have any rich resources like our friends in the other side.
Most of the high end CRTs is now going to diiscontinued from Sony or Mitsubishi, the only avenue is only heading to LCD monitor, then money talk will be appiled to the high end LCD monitors with large screen.

How many of us can afford the 19 -21" high end LCD with the price tag around 2K.

Even after reading all the threads on how CRT is better than LCD, I’m very happy with my LCD for image viewing.
I’ve done a few test prints in Adobe colour & the difference between the print & the screen is very minimal so in every day use the LCD will do me.

Cheers

It'll migrate even more to LCD as the Organic LED display devices creep onto the market.

Plasma makes a good tv but not a good monitor... too small a resolution.

What nnnnsic said. Go stand close to your plasma telly (or your rich friend's plasma if you have a CRT telly)
