Christmas DinnerHowdy,
Can I just say, Alicia & I had a great evening tonight. We met some forum members for the first time (in person), and some again, and it honestly felt like meeting old (and, in Stubbsy's case, older) friends. I took a couple of photos: The first two are using Yi-Ps wonderful 85 1.4 (what a lens) These two were using the ordinary 17-35 with the SB800. It seems Peters D2x and flash were popular. Again, a great night, and thanks to Gary (and Poon?) for the fantastic prize. And for those who shared their wine with me, sorry I had run out of mine to share, but it was only Church Block, which was disappointing. P Patrick
Totally agree Patrick - a wonderful evening with great friends and superb food (well done Glen)
A couple of my pics from the evening. Philo - the better half of Matt.K An award yet to be announced to the forum. Steffan’s wife (sorry, your name escapes me) And finally (for now), a real cutie who had absolutely nothing to do with the forum. . . And finally a big thank you to Poon for the gifts. Chris

A brilliant night - thanks all!

Another great evening with the forum. It was good to be able to meet more forum members and enjoy their company.
Thanks to Gary for organising the night and a big thanks to Poon for his generous gifts. Cheers, Mick
A most enjoyable night. Good food, good company... not to mention free socks! Many thanks to Poon for your generosity and congrats on winning POTY.
Thanks Glen for organising the venue (when DID the pseudoephedrine lose its kick?) and of course Gary, Leigh and all the other senior members for making it happen. Have mouse, will travel
Just to breach the 4 photo per thread limit, here is another shot, using Yi-P's 85 lens.
No flash used, just playing with the wide open aperture. P
Another great evening. Thanks for starting this post Patrick (not sure about the "older" bit ). It was indeed a great evening and wonderful to catch up with the familiar and less familiar faces. I have 150 shots to winnow from the evenings pics taken with my camera. I'll return and add the best here later. For a fee I'll delete the worst

Peter, I think I have the right to call someone 'older' if they were collecting wine when I was only about 6 years of age Seriously, it was good having a chat about wine with you last night. P
Shhhhh. That's like one of my mates who takes great delight in pointing out he was born the year I started university. And absolutely great to chat with you. Peter
