New D200 post-shutter noise?

Postby Oz_Beachside on Fri Dec 01, 2006 6:19 pm

Does your D200 make a funny vibration noise, in upper right corner after the shutter returns?

Mine makes a vibration, similar to that of a film camera winding???

Doesnt sound nice, just wondering if normal????

Cant say mine makes that noise.. :?

In fact when I first heard the d200 after using a D70 I nearly lost control..

But I've go to cover an event tonight. I'll take particular notice.

Cheers

thanks fo rfeedback.

I had a search through dpreview for key words like "D200 shutter noice" and found that it is extremely common. COmmon does not mean normal, nor acceptable, just happens a lot.

General opinion in there is that it is "normal", however I still intend to do a few side by side comparisons in store.
