Get the Nikon cable and plug your regular GPS in... I'm going to get one for My Garmin foretrex (GPS-serial-D200) It then puts Lon/lat/alt in EXIF New page

As long as your GPS can do NMEA it will work (I assume)

There is a point if you don’t have the Garmin et al, plus the MC-35 is a lot more convenient with this specifically made GPS as it is built-in and shorter. Just sold my MC-35 on Ebay for $99, offered it to the forum for $75 - average price $160 out of HK. Chris

Or see the upcoming issue of CHIMP for another alternative that is less of a pain when you're taking the pics (ie: no attached device/cables, etc) but a little fiddly later - it's also a hell of a lot cheaper than either of the above options
