Okay, so here is the family. It seems a little pixelated and bright since I put it up on Flickr. Not sure why that happened. As I took some photos of the diffferent families, I noticed a big difference the light off of their faces from front to back (some of the kids were light and some dark, as most of the parents are either lighter or darker). Any of the people that you see with black hair are adopted, or the adopted's children.

I made a few mistakes. I'm standing on the right side. Though I am bigger than most of them, I am not this much bigger. As I ran back and forth in the photo, I didn't check my size. I'm so large I could cradle the full grown adults on the left side. I don't think it's too bad, but it is definitly a mistake. My other problem was not taking more pictures. The kids seemed to be getting restless, and so I told them that I think we got it before I had fully inspected the picture (some of the kids aren't looking). They had arranged themselves while I was setting up the camera and I didn't rearrange them. I look at it now and wish I put her parents in the middle of the group. I will say that it is a lot tougher than you might think with a huge group like this. Please tell me what you think.
Remember, the actual photo is darker, this brightened on the website for some reason.

Yes, you do look very prominent on the right.  With such a large group, and esp with the no. of young kids, I think you did as well as any of us would have done! You picked a shady spot, everyone who wants to smile is smiling, and I can't tell if you used flash or not (and that's a good sign if you had used fill-flash).
I was expecting more "international colours of Benneton"-esque, going from your prev posts. It's pretty much your average eclectic racial mix of the typical mormon family IMO. 
I think it's a good snapshot, one to be treasured by the family no doubt. I would have liked to see grandpa & grandma more in the centre, and to the left and right of them #1 and #2 kid, with their kids etc. for a more formal structure. But as it is, it looks as if families are roughly grouped together... so how many copies will you be printing out to distribute?

I did use flash, as I found it brought the colors of our faces out from the rocky wall in the background, but it took some fiddling with to get it just right. I kept the kit lens as close to 50mm as I could so there was some workable space as the SB 800 is quite powerful. I also kept the diffuser on as I like as much fleshy tone as possible. I love the Hawaiian shirt up front. It adds a little splash to the photo. I look at that and think, "thank goodness he didn't have a wife to make him wear navy blue."

There was a bit of discussion earlier about the family, so I wanted to give everyone an idea of who was who in case they were interested. The Black hair is one of the distinguishing factors (the "homegrown" (their term) kids all have very blond hair or light brown). It may look like many of the asians married into the family, when quite the opposite is true. Thanks Kristine for the compliment. Mudder, we generally have a birthday celebration once per month, where we celebrate everyone's B-day from the month. Makes it simple. For a while they had no Januaries until I came along, now they have a reason to party atleast once a month.
