New to the forumG'day everyone.
My name is John. I was born at an early age, and I'm a Canonholic. Please don't cure me cuz I like it this way. The wiffie uses Nikon, and when we run photo tours she's the busier of the two of us because Canon are vastly superior in the user friendliness department [etecetera]. If she ever comes in here I'm dead meat, so I hope the forum bouncer is an ex-wrestler from Adelaide. Oh, any ripplings about a Canon 18-200mm going about? Thanks for listening. __________________ http://www.travelimages.com

Re: New to the forumG'Day, John, and welcome.
I'm sorry.
Easy to tell who the smart one in your family is.
Or maybe the Nikon users are just more interested in the finer points of photography? Yes, cruel, cynical, unsympathetic .... that's me. The forum bouncer is actually a 30 pound weakling, who uses a camera obscura, and he processes his images on the back of an abacus (cleverly disguised as a coaster) in a bar in downtown Modesto. In all seriousness, welcome, and join in the fun, Please, if you can spare a moment, tell us a bit about the tours that you run. And say hello to my good friend Roger Donnay who also lives in Idaho. There can't be more than, what, seven people in the whole state? g.

Welcome to the forum John.
In my mind's eye, I imagine Idaho to be a visually stunning place to photograph. Steve.

In my mind's eye, I confuse both Iowa and Idaho as being one in the same and have each responsible for that bloody national standardised test I had to take in 7th or 8th grade while I was living in Texas.

I'm sure we won't hold your age or your religion against you. Enjoy John. Cheers, Mick

You've already got the Sigma and the Tamron. Are you going to keep trying until you give in and switch to the Nikon 18-200VR?

Thanks for the warm welcome Gary. I'm probably better at answering questions about our photo tours, but at least there are two genuinely nice folk on here that have already rattled off some feedback from the trips they took with us. For Frankenstein's Canadian Rockies photo tour thread see: Images from Canadian Rockies For DanielA's New Zealand photo tour thread see: New Zealand Photo Tour Nicer, more honest folk you could never expect to meet . . . plus I'm sure they're not in it for a big commission. Next you'll be asking me to say 'hello' to Mrs. Jones in Wales! Erm, as they say in Scotland, I donnay him. Whereabouts in the State is he? __________________ http://www.travelimages.com
