An idea

I stumbled across this story and it has inspired me to look into visiting a few of these spots on a big day out DSLRUSER style!

Watch this space, but what a potentially great experience and day out? :)

The idea is to look at hopping between islands for a day - I'm sure it's achievable!

It would make for an interesting and long day out.
Does anyone have a game boat or yacht?

I havent been to those places, so I'm very keen to go for a visit on a DSLRU day out. :D

I hope the transportation is not too expensive :)

Do sydney ferries run over to any of those places?

Good spotting Geoff - looks like there will be plenty of interest.

I'm interested and I'm sure Donna would like to visit a few of those spots. Are you going to organise this - if so, let us know when and how much it is expected to cost all up. When are you thinking of doing the trip?

Will be interesting to see which spots we could comfortably visit/shoot on the one day.

And yeah - who has a ferry we can use?? Shame Jamie isn't a member

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

Well I've been pretty busy of late but over the next few weeks I will look into it a little closer. Perhaps we should form a little committee to make it easier? PM me if you want to join the committee, we shouldn't need more than 3 people. I am (at this stage) thinking early March, i.e enough time to get very organised so that it will be a well organised event.

I can't match Matt K. :chook: (in any department)

However, one of my sons is a qualified Master who could get us onto a small Ferry for about $1K per day :!:

The problem remains that access to each island requires clearance from the appropriate department i.e. Harbour Foreshore Authority, National Parks and Wildlife or else be part of a guided tour (which probably precludes independent arrival)

Not to despair, if someone researches the details for a visit and we can get sufficient numbers, the private ferry could be a goer 8)

The private ferry sounds fantastic Jo, however at $1k a day, I want this to be an affordable event so not to exclude anyone.

No problems! We have 2000 members so if only half of them come along then It's only $1.00 each!
