{Stop} It

Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. silly question, but i've never really thought about it before.

just wondering about exposure comp/bracketing etc...

do these settings work in stops? EG: if i use +1.7 exposure comp, does this mean +1.7 stops?

or if i set bracketing to 2.0, is this 2 stops?

still learning, hope it makes sense :)
