Picture Of The Week - January 9, 2007

Postby MHD on Tue Jan 09, 2007 12:56 pm

Well, I am sitting here looking outside the hostel window in Down town Juneau, Alaska, at it is -3 and snowing outside... At sea level!
This weeks POTW caught my eye almost immediately, not only is it a great image that took a lot of skill to capture it is iconic of the Australian Summer.

Congratulations to Heath for his Water shot!
Image

Great patterns on the waves, something I dont usually notice when I am at the beach but vibrantly captured in this photo

"Wow", as my jaw dropped, when I first saw this pic in the original thread.

Love it, and as I love the water, I'll take this POW as my birthday present too

Thanks MHD, it is a nice pat on the back.

For anyone who read the original thread, and wants to enjoy this image a little less, spot where the water droplet was on the lens. Once you know where, it is hard not to see it when looking at the pic...

At least now I can take heart in ways to keep this issue at bay (also in the thread).

Nice summer image here - well done Heath, a great shot that, in my humble opinion would look brilliant in the right frame and enlarged too!

Heath

Congratulations on having this stunning image chosen. Now I've looked I can see that (large) drop, but it still doesn't detract from the image IMHO

Great photo Heath.

I wouldn't have picked the droplet if you hadn't pointed it out. Just thought the water was smoother there.
