Lens Lust

Postby photograham on Mon Jan 22, 2007 4:11 pm

I suffer from lens lust and NAS, (NAS= Nikon Acquisition Syndrome) so Gary gave me special access to Bargains last week. It worked!!!! On Wednesday I ordered and paid for a Nikon 70 - 200 F2.8 VR, and this afternoon it arrived.
What great service. Gary, thank you very much for your assistance, and please also pass my thanks onto Poon.
Only trouble is that this lens will be for my birthday, so I have to wait until the middle of next month to get it into my hands.

Graham, you will love it!!! They look great, feel great in hand, and most importantly, get great results.

I love the fact I can hand hold 200mm at 1/25th!!!!

Enjoy, and happy birthday :D

Great stuff Graham! I am awaiting my new purchase as well, except I can't purchase unitl the middle of next month :(

They are a great lens, I had a play with one quickly at a camera shop on the weekend! Hand held at 1/40th @ 200mm with ease! I'm sure as Oz said lower would be as easy.

No Rob, the 200 - 400 VR is out of budget. Though I might later on look at selling the 80-400VR and getting the Sigma 170-500 or maybe the Tamron 200-500 for their extra reach. But then there is also the 1.7 converter, and then there is..............

No .... that is not what you want to do.

Trust me on this.
