Don't need that if you know where to get.
See your local rep (forum member) and abuse him with an empty container for a such small amount of substituted Eclipse fluid. Buy a pack of Pec Pad for around 20 bucks (100 sheets). Buy a Giotto Air Rocket for $17.00 There you go, it last for your life!!!!!! if you know how to do it, with only 2 Pec Pads at one clean. Birddog114

No, Big Red! don't dare to use it, coz sometime its label is not true. Check with Simon (Manta), if he runs out, I'll dispatch a 40K Litres tanker upthere for the Queenslanders, courtersy from one of our member: LOZ. Birddog114

ok i won't use it on the sensor.
i tried it on a dirty UV filter and it looked ok on that though. i have some dust bunnies that won't come off and was hoping to get rid of them tonight as i am photographing the Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge this weekend for a couple of mags. heading up there shortly as i have to mark out the tracks tomorrow. Thommo, You'll be better off buying direct from copperhillimages. Whilst qualitycamerasales is good in a way, they prices for small accessories are often inflated beyong reasonable. As for methanol (or eclipse) get it from someone at your local mini-meet. I could give you some if you drop in to Melbourne.
Cheers Alex
How does the product kindly supplied here on the forum for lens and sensor cleaning (substituted eclipse) go with multi coated filters? I have read that most cleaners leave a residue on the multicoated filter and a product called Formula MC is good for them?
Just fine.
You'll probably find that, like Eclipse, all you're buying with the other stuff is repackaged ethanol with a brand name on it. g.

OOPS Thanh I forgot to pm you to tell you I recieved the package yesterday in the mail. thanks! Are we there yet?
Spooky - Formula MC comes package in this kit. I have it and use it on my B+W MRC filters with no residual problems at all.

When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.
Methanol, actually and its purity is crucial. Alex
Pec Pad used with Eclipse fluid (or substituted juice) can clean all. No doubt.

Thanks guys. I will try and locate some of the fluid in Brisbane then rather than chase formula mc. I will PM manta.
Where do you guy buy your pec pads. I tried Photocontinal and they don't sell sensor wipes at all for liability reasons. The only online place I found was around $23.50 including postage for 100 of the 10cm x 10cm wipes. Is this my best bet?
Spooky, Go for it. I used to have them but the demand is to small and most people prefers to get the Pec Pad online, so I don't carry them anymore. Birddog114

Who can I speak to about this Eclipse fluid?
chet - you can order it on line from:
http://www.qualitycamera.com.au/product ... ts_id=1193 Should have it in Melbourne, lastest Wednesday.
fozzie
so is buying Eclipse fluid and PecPads the same as buying the CoperHill Cleaning Kit? Do you get the spatula too?
When i purchased the kit about 6 months ago i received the spatula swipe thingy as part of it.
I remember a pretty good description of the kit contents on the website, check that out!
Chet - the only way that you will get a spatula (Proper Term: Sensor Swipe) is to buy a kit. They do not sell them separately.
As I mentioned above, you can purchase the the Copper Hill cleaning kits from Quality Camera Sales in WA. 1- Copper Hill Sensor Swipe 13mm Kit: for Canon - 350D, 400D: http://www.qualitycamera.com.au/product ... ts_id=1358 2- Copper Hill Sensor Swipe 14mm Kit: Nikon - D1, D1H, D1X, D2H, D2X, D100, D70, D50 Canon - 1D, 30D, 60D, 10D, 20D, 30D, 300D Fuji S2, S3 Pentax *ist Sigma SD-9 KM Maxxum 7d http://www.qualitycamera.com.au/product ... ts_id=1351 and so on...... http://www.qualitycamera.com.au/index.p ... 92d4a4c323 When looking at the website listed above, it describes what is in the kit. Irrespective of the kit it will cost AU$64.99 + Postage and normally takes 2-3 workings days for delivery and is a very worthwhile investment.
fozzie
I built my own spatula, using an old cityrail ticket and fold it to smaller size, worked well... I only did one wet cleaning of the sensor, the rest using a rocket blower will be suffice.
Correction to my earlier post. You can purchase a 'Sensor Swipe' by itself.
Copper Hill Swipe'n'Pad Kit - no fluid - $36.00 This kit Contains: 1 x Swipe Cleaning Instructions 1 x Copper Hill Sensor Swipe (size of your choice) 1 x Photographic Solutions PEC-Pads http://www.qualitycamera.com.au/product ... 92d4a4c323 fozzie
$3.60 Return ticket from CityRail (or pick one used for free at nearby station), coupled with Pec*Pad and Eclipse (not shown):
