Oooo... this week was a hard one (so hard that I'm a day late!)... I went through the images like I normally do, and found some real standout shots.
It sucks that I can only pick one.
That one is....
...by Ozimax!
It's a great image. It really captures that whole essence of being a kid. The smile, the shape of the shirt, the grass stains on the jeans, and the colours all help to hold it together.
There's just an extraordinary feeling of warmth and personality that this image has, what with the way the blues, greens, and yellows come together.

Thanks Leigh, not sure if I'm worthy to be listed with so many of the great POTW recipients, but much appreciated nonetheless.
For the record, my middle name is Max, so I often go by Max instead of Fraser. Why oh why did my dear Mum name me Fraser? Couldn't it have been John or Ted or Jack or George?? I so often get miscalled "Eraser" ? or "Razor"? so Max it usually is!!
However, you can call me anything you like, within reason.

Nice pic' Mr Young. And a good pick young Leigh.
Well done Max. It is a cool piccie and one that I am sure your nephew will cherish for a long time to come. Don't forget to let him know he was POTW.

Congratulations Max (I'm sticking with Max ), this is a great portrait. As Poon as noted, very natural and the lighting is realing something.

Congrats Max, a very nice well balanced photo, a worthy winner.
I find kids are the hardest subject to photo followed maybe by surf action shots, you seem to have them both down pat keep them coming.
