An Open Appology

Postby Cre8tivepixels on Mon Feb 26, 2007 2:22 pm

Well i guess the gist is up....its really me Dan (bonou2)....before you kick me off the site again let me explain....i said some horrible things about some others photography on this site and didnt take to kindly FAIR and HONEST attempts to help me with C&C. At the time i was going through a REALY tough divorce and was down on the world (drinking heavly as well I might add) ...now i know its no excuse, but i really did have a terrible attitude and i just to contribute to this site (constructively) and make amends?

That "brat" is NOT me...those who have worked with me, whether they be clients/contacts know this.

I emailed an apology to the mods, but i did not get a reply. So i thought i would try to make amends under a pseudonym - eventually i was going to email (after behaving myself for a few months) Gary Stark again through the site to explain my actions.

I would even like to MEET some members to show that I am not like that. Pay for membership etc??

I guess i will be booted again......to be honest i didn’t want to keep the charade up as it was anyhow...so i am sorry. I apologize to all that i offended. So if you can find it in your heart to let me stay that would be great......but i understand your position and i won’t hold it against you if i do go!

MOST was my fault.

I just wanted to contribute my images (even though i can do this numerous other places flickr etc) this one is home grown.

This is not a bleeding hearts story either, just one to say i am sorry for what i caused.

Everyone makes mistakes and I realized I made a HUGE one!

Can i PLEASE stay?

Cheers
Dan PS: I will do what ever it takes to prove my worth/sincerity ....what about a probation period?

Dan - you have admitted to openly trying to deceive the members and mods here. That I do not like. It appears you have only done this as you have been 'caught out'. I'm not sure you would have opened up IF you had not been forced to.

I will need time personally to mull this one over.

I hate dishonesty, you have been very dishonest with your approach and your 'for sale' post has added fuel to the fire.

The Mods will discuss this in due course.

Dan - it takes a lot of guts to ”come clean” and I, for one, admire that you have put finger to keyboard to explain yourself.

Having been around for many years and had the opportunity from others to make right the mistakes I have made, I hope that the mods will welcome your message in the context that you have written it.

Hahaha... I thought I had recognized the style before, and was a bit confused by the Rach, Dan name thing.. (I was wondering if I'd seen you on Flickr or somewhere else.

I for one enjoyed some of your work (not all, but then who does) and I did like your image contributions and comments, until your evil twin chucked a wobbley, while it's not my call I'd like to see you stick around, and certainly would be keen to see you at a meet sometime, but like I said it's not my call, but I hope something can be arranged, even if its a probation period.

And we do.

Dan,

The reason i've not yet responded is that

(a) I have a life beyond the forum

(b) The mods have been discussing this, and I wanted have their input and to understand their positions on this before I got back to you

(c) It's Monday

or

(d) All of the above.

:)

Seriously, while d is true, a and b are paramount, but because of a we cannot always respond to issues in an immediate timeframe.

Your apology is accepted - but please be aware of what you've said in that apology. As you accept, a difficult divorce, excessive alcohol intake ... serious shit that many of us have had to address in the past, but not an excuse.

Our own attitude is something that we each have to accept responsibility for, and hopefully we can deal with in a mature manner.

Enough of the lecturing: welcome back!

Very true, but it certainly clouded judgment.

THANKYOU!!!!!!

I hated the charade, truly!! :D

Now i will work at regaining my "peers" respect.

Send Leigh a PM. I can't do it from here because of a bug in FF on Ubuntu.

In any event, it may not be possible if we've left the previous registered name remain

Dan,

You lied to me as late as last week when I suspected someone else was posting your work. As you know I am and have been around many of the other modelling sites as most of my work is with models. One thing that really pisses me off is people not telling the truth.

I appreciate your personal issues as photography cost me my wife of 25 years and my 2 children. This community is a bunch of real nice people that have treated me kindly. I hope you get yourself together.

I didnt lie to you.........my wifes account is the one i used and she is still a supporter of mine. Sometimes lifes not meant to be the way we want it, we are better friends than we are husband and wife?......we are trying to patch things up.........thats the truth.

Personaly i have aired enough dirty laundry and i would prefere to keep this subject now closed :)

Cheers
