Anyone volunteer to tell this person that the Nikon warranty will ot apply, because it is not transferable?

Then point them at Ted's or somewhere where the lens will be around $250.

When you follow the 'ask seller a question' link, isn't that question usually displayed on the listing page? :wink:

I don't get why you're all so outraged. Nobody is being forced to buy it. :roll:

If someone pays that because they haven't bothered to actually check first how much the lens is worth, then frankly, that's idiot tax.

I sent him a message suggesting that he should have let people know if was the VR for that price as the one he had listed was approx $360 retail :wink:
