Sensor Cleaning in Hong Kong

Postby AlistairC on Thu Mar 22, 2007 1:11 pm

Hi all,

I'm a Sydneyite that goes to school in Hong Kong. I know some people here have links to HK so therfore may have an answer to my question. My D50 has a big piece of gunk on the sensor and I am looking at a place to get it cleaned, however hearing horror stories about some HK camera stores I a reluctant to just walk in off the street and ask to get it cleaned.

Would anyone be able to recommend a good place for sensor cleaning in HK? I don't feel up to it to do it myself. Failing that is it worth sending it home to Dad in Australia to get it cleaned there?

Thanks
Alistair

Alsitair, I hope you get some suggestions. Honestly I would do it myself, it is very easy and you will need to learn one day. You will also find yourself more thorough than anyone else. If you started with something like a Giotto rocket (air blower A$20) then if that didn't succeed get a wet kit. Good luck
