rain cover(prototype 1.1) for my d70 for less than 10$?

well i decided to design my own raincover for my d70 using first cloth which i found to be waterproof but to soft.
started to use plastic vinyl as a material and an idea which i remember from a james bond movie.


heres the finished product, extremely rigid, velcro straps to seal. the bottom holes made for the tripod leg and side flaps for the focuing which can be lifted.
although its a bit to short to cover the hood a newer version will be done soon

yeah, your never too sure what happens here, always prepare for the worst i say. good thing too is that it fold up neatly into a bundle about the size of a nokia 3310.
but not sure if humidity is a problem here in vic, sirhc55.

however, i decided to use clear vinly and focusing holes which would allow the user to see outside the camera and focus if needed.
i'll also try to adapt space for an on board flash/pw.

I saw it nice but it may be not good in humidity and wet, cos the zip bag is not "vapourware", could be the cause for lens fungu diseases after, unless you may install an exshaust fan into the bag, it'll suck out all the humidity.

yeah my pic is a little deceiving, its not entirly sealed up the rear where the camera is competely open and there a few holes on the side of the lenses. but again it is a prototype and real world tests are needed, it may not enev be waterproof. however there was plenty of rain in the past few days to test:)
