Stolen: 350D Black/ 17-85 Canon / 50 - 500 Sigma (serials)

Hi

Apologies for hi-jacking a productive discussion thread. I did a search and it appears this is the forum group to post stolen gear. I was burgelred 13 March 2007 in Scarborough Perth. We have just moved here and I am uninsured (Stupid I know). Professional job - no prints, nothing else taken.

If you see/hear of the following gear being offerred, please let me know - especially the Sigma lens is not a very common one (been watching ebay)

ITEMS STOLEN
Canon 350D (Black) - 0830521988
Canon 17-85 IS USM lens - 08205842 (Hoya UV filter on)
Canon Lens 50mm f1.8 - 15132815
Sigma - 50 - 500 EX lens (Tiffen UV Filter on)

All camera gear and lenses in black canon bag, except teh Sigma was in a green lens bag

Other stuff in the bags/Camera
* Extra battery
* Charger
* 2GB Sandisk ULTRA II CF Card
* Hoya circular polariser (67 mm)

And they also stole an older Sony Video camera, TRV21 MiniDV in grey sony bag.

We saved quite a while to buy this; sadly I can't justify spending the 4 grand again... At least they left the computer drives with all the pictures.

You hear anything, please let me know -- or advice. Is it possible to list stolen goods with Canon? The police apparently inform Cash Converters of the serials...

Sorry to hear about your theft. If you are keen to replace it, it may be worth sticking around the forum as people are often selling older stuff cheaply. Good luck in finding your gear.
