Picture of the Week 3 April 2007

Postby Greg B on Mon Apr 02, 2007 11:38 pm

It is arty, monochrome, interesting, evocative.

I love the monochrome tone, I love the atmosphere, the
story. Great shot Pirostitch / Wayne. Congratulations.

Aww sweet! Thanks for the comments guys and Greg for choosing it. Yeah I received a POTW (and POTY) with the D70 awhile back for the bike pic. Too bad I couldn't do the same with the D2Xs, but can't have them all :)

/slap head, of course your Awesome bike shot.. It's funny as I'd completely disassociated that shot with you as the images you post now are very different in subject and style to that shot. :)

Excellent image - quite evocative and expressive.

I have enjoyed Wayne's B&W work very much. :)

Thanks for the kudos everyone. I don't plan on getting too bogged down on this style but will be a nice style to fallback on as well as building up from (if that makes sense).

Craig - Yeah it's been a bit of a change for me but still relatively the same - capturing what the eye/mind doesn't/can't process :)
