Ordered a Huey from DaveB yesterday and it arrived in the mail this morning.  I knew Dave would send it off quick smart, but ozzie post doing their bit, wow. 
I set up the Huey and did the monitor calibration a little while ago and I am amazed at the difference.  I could easily see the difference between the pre and post calibration, it simply astounded me. I really thought there would not be much difference as my monitor is only a few months old (LCD) and overall I have been very happy with it.
Why did I buy a Huey? Because I just bought an Epson R2400 printer and thought I really should manage the colour process. The first print I did on the printer was so off colour I immediately threw it out (the print not the printer).
Now I have started on the colour management path, what is next? Re pp all my old pics that now look crap, choose which papers I will use and then get a few custom icc profiles. Then my wife, I have given her this job, will source framing supplies and learn how to do our framing. A 'how to' book has already been purchased. Me, I have to go out and take some decent shots that are worth framing. 
Anyway, thanks DaveB for the Huey and such fast service and also to BobG for the printer. Both guys are way .
Must go, have so much work to do now, if you can call it work.

Sounds like a good start to a great printing process. I have been printing more and more of late (mostly A4) and absolutely love seeing our images on paper!
If only we had spare wall to hang our prints!
