Epson R 1800 Printer Probs

Postby mic on Fri Apr 20, 2007 11:01 pm

I keep getting communication errors when printing ?

I have turned off, re booted, re installed the printer, checked connections.

It prints fine, then when I go to print again it starts to print a bit then shoots the paper our with just a little bit started.

Anybody had this problem ?

I am on a Mac as well if that helps ?

Cheers,

Mic.

Cables all ok?

Plugged in properly?

Have you tried using a different one?

What is the cable length?

if you have downloaded the latest drivers from the Australian Epson web site, re select your preferences in....... CS2>print>page setup>format for, and choose print and fax preference>choose printer

...... remember to set the correct custom page size and printer margins..... I set all my printer margins to ..... 0.01 cm...... and set the image up in CS2

in the print and fax selection make sure you select the correct printer and what you want to choose when printing...... ie: maxium...... roll paper..... this also has to be done if you have downloaded new drivers

...... but good idea to check all of the above.....
