Postby aloysius on Sun Apr 15, 2007 11:07 pm

Thinking of buying a Tokina 28-70 2.8 Atx Af F. Price is around $170 2nd hand...in good condition. What are peoples opinions...has anyone got any experience with this lens. All reviews I've found on net are positive....

lens arrived this morning. few days late but it seems that was local couriers fault. Had a brief play with it and it seems to be a good buy!

it is, maybe not a Nikon one but good to play with!
I got one................

Cons: Af it's not a rocket and at 2.8 it's a bit soft.......4.5 it's start to be great but 5.6-8/11 it is fantastic!
Enjoy it.

Had a wander through an old abandoned hospital today with this lens. It wasnt wide enough for walkabout. Will make a good portrait lens i think...some results here:
