Cleaning Kit adviceAhoy folks,
Does anyone know where I can purchase a decent, not rediculously expensive, sensor cleaning kit? I got a service quote from cameraservice, who quoted $600 for two D2h's. I think I might just clean the sensors myself instead. 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Raskill
Eclipse fluid and Pecpads and a small kitchen spatular cut down to about 12mm. Any other method is not as efficient and costs more. There are precise instructions on this forum and it is very easy to do. There may be forum members in your locality who can show you how to do it. Or come to Sydney and I'll demonstrate it for you. Regards

HOLY SHIZEN! They obviously dont like cleaning sensors hey
Coperhill seems to be a good deal. I need to get one myself sometime!
Quality camera sells the kit for sensor cleaning... Cost, no more than $70 and you can use it almost 'forever'...
I bought my pecpads and eclipse fuild somewhere like 2.5 yrs ago and its till like 75% left... I built the 'spatula' from my old train tickets folded down to size... it works well tho
Re: Cleaning Kit advice
Lather, rinse, repeat. Always repeat! For hours. Not sure what else they can do to justify that price. Oh wait, maybe they're replacing the sensor with a new one... Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
I got mine from http://www.qualitycamera.com.au/
From the side, you can select "Copper Hill DSLR Sensor Care" ---
Equipment: camera body, wide lens, standard lens, telephoto lens, flash Wish list: skill
Thanks guys. Appreciate the help. Cut down train tickets though?
We don't get enough trains out here for that one!!! Cheers! 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc
