Picture of the week 8 May 2007

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Picture of the week 8 May 2007

Postby stubbsy on Tue May 08, 2007 12:46 am

Choosing picture of the week is getting harder and harder since there is just so much good work posted these days. This week I had a bit of a dilemma since I narrowed it down to two images and I just couldn't choose between. So I've decide to choose both as Picture of The Week since both are by the same photographer. Nathan has been a member here for about 18 months and in that time his work has really improved out of sight. These two shots are both great examples of his eye for an interesting image from an ordinary locale.

Congratulations Nathan

The original thread for this first shot is HERE (I preferred the reworked version of the image)

Congratulations to Nathan for winning PotW twice - in the one week! :)

And well chosen, stubbsy. These are indeed interesting works from a relatively new member.
