program for borders?

Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. We were all beginners at one stage, and even the most experienced amongst us will admit to learning new stuff on a daily basis. Ask away! Please also refer to the forum rules and the portal page

I just use the basics, expand canvas with colours, Canvas Size -> Relative 105% on sides, and choose a colour.

Create and record your own actions, then save them. Later on, you only need one click to make them happen. :)

If you like those fancy tastes, take a look at these:

Likewise. I haven't discovered another way of doing it in PS. Having said that, there is normally about 10 different ways to achieve the same effect in that program.

Depending on the border / frame effects you're going for, try OnOne Photoframe or look up some brushes on DeviantArt.

Jeremy

I use a photoshop action that's modified from Mike Brewer's Invariant Frame which I downaloaded from Action central.
