Thanking all members at the mini meet & photoshop workshop today.
Hope everyone's enjoyed and have had a good time.
Especially thanks Matt.K for your time of preparing and leading the group into exploring the secret of Photoshop.

As Birddog says: next week.

It was originally going to be today, but someone decided to go and spend a week in Honolulu with his girlfriend. Never let it be said I don't have a life.

Great to meet everyone today. Perhaps the PS workshop group attendees could share with us what they've learnt from MattK. As they say, the best way to understand something is to teach it to someone else. ;)

Anyway, the outdoor meet was fun. We sat around and talked and before you know it, the day's passed!

Thanks to Mr and Mrs Birddog once again for hosting us. The spicy noodles we had for lunch was delicious.

Yes - thanks to the Birddog family for the usual hospitality! Out-of-town members really do not know what they miss by not having these meets - it is one of the many things that sets this forum apart from any other out there :)

For those interested, I've posted the more viewable pics from today on my gallery...

Of course, it includes a duck pic...

And a big thanks from me too, to Birdy and Mrs Birddog for the fine hospitality, to Matt for the excellent PS workshop, and to Onyx for the lift to the airport (I assume you found your way home OK).

It was great to meet some more of the Sydney members in the flesh!

cheers

Birdy, thanks again for your warm hospitality and a wonderful morning and i enjoyed the chat we all had.

It's so enjoyable to talk 'shop' with people who understand the fascination with photography.

which lens is it that onyx has in the 'say cheese' shot?

It's the 200-400VR, the mysterious beasty itself....

Greg, glad you got home safe. It was great to meet you, and your mugshot is now forever a part of the forum member's gallery on Pixspot. ;)

I did spend some time driving around the airport trying to do what we saw those Canon guys do... but I couldn't find a spot to stop and take pics from.

I got a great shot of the common housepest sparrow from the 200-400 today, I'll post it when I upload.
