Extracted from above link:
"16,183 digital pictures shot in Houston's Reliant Stadium by eleven of the magazine's staff photographers over the course of about six hours. It's 11:00pm, an hour-and-a-half after the game has ended"

It's average of 1471 photos/ photogs in 6 hours, even some of them did not see the result of their cacth, guess what? how many photos are they going to publish? No time for looking into the manual here!
