VIP: very important photographsHi everyone,
The National Gallery of Australia (Canberra) is having a photo exhibition - free entry. quote: "VIP: very important photographs from the European, American and Australian photography collection 1840s-1940s 16 May to 19 August 2007 VIPS provides a rare opportunity to view over 150 of the most beautiful and significant works from the permanent collection of 15,000 photographs." http://nga.gov.au/master.cfm?http://nga.gov.au/VIP/ Cheers, Christiand
I went and had a look at the exhibition today - phantastic stuff
There are a few daguerreotypes, images of people and places going back to 1840, Sydney in 1920, European places and people, American icons (places and movie stars), Photos from Max Dupain, Ansel Adams, Bill Brandt, Ray Man - too many to name. If you have the opportunity, don't let it go but go and have a look. Cheers, CD
Plus its free!
I have been to check it out a few times during my lunch breaks. I work over the road from this place. Steve (Nikon D200/D700)
